Today's exercise

Choose a familiar subject and explain it aloud for about a minute. Partway through, deliberately stop. Take a moment, return to the main point, and continue in your own words. You can record it on your phone to hear how the recovery sounds. Keep going to the end, even if the wording changes, and try a brief pause, a glance at a note, or a simple phrase that helps you resume.

Today's exercise

Pick something you know well and record an explanation on your phone, about a minute. First, jot down three prompts: your main point, one example or reason, and how you will finish. Explain it in your own words. Listen back for whether the main point is easy to hear and the example connects to it. If you try again, choose one change that would help someone follow the idea.

Today's exercise

Choose one manageable speaking opportunity coming up, such as asking a question, sharing an idea, or giving a short update. Decide where you will try it and what you want to contribute. Afterwards, make a quick note of what happened: did you get your point across, and how did people respond? Notice what you managed to do, even if you felt nervous.

Today's exercise

Choose an upcoming speaking situation and write down a specific worry, such as "If I pause, they will think I am unprepared." Afterwards, note what you actually saw or heard and give the whole conversation a fair look. If you already use Babli, you can do this around a simulated speaking session and listen back afterwards.
